How to order cut-to-size glass online

How our configurator works: pick a product, enter your sizes, choose glass, edges and holes, check the live drawing and price, then order.

You order cut-to-size glass in our online configurator. Pick what the glass is for, type your sizes in millimetres, choose the glass, edges, holes and cut-outs, and a dimensioned drawing and a live price update as you go. Nothing is ordered until you add it to your basket and pay. Pieces we cannot price online go to a quote instead.

How do I start an order?

Open the configurator and choose the product first: shower glass, bath screen, splashback, mirror, shelf or table top. Shelves and table tops sit behind "More types".

If you already know what you need, a link can open the right product directly:

Balustrades and Juliet balconies have their own designers, so start from the balustrade page instead. The balustrade designer shows a price where it can price the design, and anything else we quote by hand.

What do I need to enter?

  1. Sizes in millimetres. On shower and bath glass you give the opening and the configurator works out the glass; elsewhere the field labels say which figure they want. Read opening size or glass size.
  2. Glass type and thickness from the options offered for the product. See glass types and thicknesses and spans.
  3. Edge finishes. Polished is standard; bevels are offered on mirrors and table tops. See edge finishes.
  4. Holes and cut-outs, including diameters and centre positions. See holes, notches and cut-outs for sizes, spacing and product restrictions.

Choose fittings before ordering: toughened glass cannot be cut or drilled afterwards.

What is the live drawing for?

As you type, the configurator draws your exact piece with its dimensions, holes and cut-outs. The workshop cuts from that drawing, so it is the thing to check. You can switch between the Drawing tab and a 3D preview, and open the drawing full screen with "Enlarge drawing". Read your drawing and checks for what happens to it after you order. The price beside it is the live price for that exact piece.

What if my piece goes to a quote?

Only a selection we do not price online goes to a quote, and the configurator tells you the reason. In that case the button reads "Request a quote" instead of "Add to basket". Examples today include a coloured splashback in a colour we do not stock, a raked splashback, mirror, shelf or table top, and some sliding shower layouts.

For an irregular shape, trace it on the grid in our measuring pack and upload a photo through the template or CAD link under Rake. Our team prices it and confirms a CAD drawing before anything is cut.

What does "provisional" mean on a shower job?

A provisional size uses a figure awaiting confirmation. The configurator labels it and asks you to acknowledge the approval and possible price adjustment at checkout. The job is held from cutting until staff confirm the specification. Read the actual notice and resolve any price or drawing change before proceeding.

Can I save or share a design?

On the review step, Copy link shares the drawing and specification. Save as quote saves and emails the quote. Read saving and sharing a design for version checks and the difference between sharing and ordering.

What happens after I order?

At checkout you tick "I've checked the sizes, holes and cut-outs on this drawing." Pay stays off until you do. Your confirmation email links to a "Check your order" page, where you can confirm the order or ask for a correction before cutting starts. We check orders with holes, cut-outs or shapes before they go to the workshop. Your order page keeps the drawing of each piece.

Delivery for your area is confirmed when you order. Our own vans cover London, and we deliver all over the UK. Collection from the branch is free; ring before you set off. For lead times, ask us.

A final check before adding the job to your basket

Check each pane against its own label. Two panes in one enclosure can have different heights, preparation and quantities even when the preview looks symmetrical. Confirm the actual hardware lines, not only the rendered fittings.

If the price or drawing changes when you switch a layout, check why before continuing. Do not pick an option just to get past a refusal and put the real requirement in a note.

If a selection is provisional, read the hold and approval instructions. If a requirement is unsupported, use the quote route with the actual specification. See comparing quotes for checking the scope of the resulting offer.

Questions we get asked

Is the price in the configurator the real price?

Yes. It is the live price for the exact piece you have drawn. If a selection has no online price, the configurator says so and offers a quote instead.

Can I change my order after I pay?

Use the "Check your order" link in your confirmation email. "Request a correction" is free while that window is open, and we hold the order until it is sorted.

What if I am not sure of my sizes?

Use our measuring pack, or book a measuring visit and we measure for you.

Contact the team with your order reference and the step you need help with, or search all help topics.
