Yes, we cut raked shower and bath glass for sloping ceilings, and every raked shower and bath job is priced online. A raked panel has one sloping edge, so its two heights differ. You give us the heights and the width, the configurator works out the sloping edge, and the live price includes the rake. Some corner layouts are sold provisionally and our staff confirm the rake before cutting.
What is a raked panel?
A raked panel is a four-sided pane with one sloping edge. Two corners stay square and the other two sit at each end of the slope. On a shower this is usually the top edge, running under a sloping ceiling. A rake can only be on one side of a pane. For two sloping sides, use the "Send us a template or CAD drawing instead" link under Rake, and our team prices it by hand.
In the configurator each pane is described by four figures:
- H1: the left height.
- H2: the right height.
- W1: the top width.
- W2: the bottom width.
You type three of them. The configurator works out the fourth, which is the true length of the sloping edge, and marks it as the rake.
How do I measure under a sloping ceiling?
Step 1: Find your datum
Measure every height from the tray lip or the finished wetroom floor, the surface the glass stands on. Mark it in pencil.
Step 2: Measure the height at each end
Measure up from the datum to the slope at the left end of the panel and again at the right end. On a raked panel you keep both figures. Do not discard either reading; both describe the slope.
Step 3: Measure the width the slope runs over
Measure the width of the panel along the level edge, usually the bottom. This is the run the slope falls over.
Step 4: Enter the figures
Choose Rake on the pane, pick the sloping side, and enter H1, H2 and the level width. The configurator works out the length of the sloping edge.
Step 5: Check each height on the drawing
The drawing labels H1 on the left edge and H2 on the right edge. Check each height sits on the edge you measured it on.
On a straight run of more than one pane, the configurator follows one sloping line across the panes, so measure the height at both ends of the whole opening. Our shower screen measuring guide covers widths, plumb and fixings, and measuring an opening has the general rules.
How is a raked shower priced?
Every raked shower and bath job is priced online. No raked shower job goes to a quote because of its rake. The live price in the configurator already includes the rake. A layout that is priced by hand for another reason, such as the sliding door between two fixed panels, stays priced by hand.
When do staff confirm the rake?
Straight runs sell as normal. These include the bath screens, the inline enclosures, the door between two fixed panels and the two-panel walk-in.
These raked layouts are sold provisionally:
- the 90 degree corner enclosures
- the 135 degree enclosure with the door in the middle
- the sliding enclosures sold online
- the inline layouts with a return panel
- the three-panel walk-in
You buy at the live price and tick to accept the provisional sizes at checkout. Every pane is held as not ready to cut until our staff confirm the rake on the corner enclosure.
Why can I not choose other shapes for shower glass?
The Shape step offers Rake only, on every product, with the other corners kept at 90 degrees. Other shapes, such as two sloping sides, triangles and chamfers, are not offered as choices. For two raked sides or another outline, use the template or CAD link under Rake, or read send a template.
A raked mirror, splashback, shelf or table top is priced by hand by our team for now. Choose the rake in the configurator and we send you a price. See glass splashbacks.

Questions we get asked
Does a raked panel need a quote?
No. Raked shower and bath glass is priced online, and the live price includes the rake.
Why is my raked corner enclosure provisional?
On corner layouts our staff confirm the rake before cutting. You still buy online at the live price.
Can I have two sloping sides on a shower panel?
Not as a choice. A shower pane can have one raked side only. For two, send a template or CAD drawing through the link under Rake, and we price it by hand.
Can you measure a sloping ceiling for me?
Yes. Book a measuring visit and we measure it on site.
